Student RSCA Forum with HonorsX

HonorsX students will present their research work with a panel-style Q&A after! Light snacks and beverages will be provided. The theme for this year is “Who are we 2030? Envisioning sustainable societies.” Representatives from each interdisciplinary student group will share their research in five short presentations.

Hosted by the College of Graduate Studies, the SJSU Grad Slam is an exciting and fast-paced event where graduate students present their research in 3 minutes and with one slide, to a non-specialist audience. Ten finalists will compete in front of a live audience and a panel of judges.

Artificial Intelligence Futures Forum

hour will feature SJSU faculty efforts in developing, researching, applying, and assessing
AI. President Teniente-Matson will then moderate a keynote panel with industry leaders:
Smita Hashim, Chief Product Officer at Zoom;
Dr. Raman Achutharaman, Group Vice President of the Joint Operations Leadership Team
at Applied Materials; and Ahmad Thomas, CEO of the Silicon Valley Leadership Group.

19th Annual College of Science Student Research Day

Working directly with College of Science (COS) faculty, many undergraduate and graduate students are engaged in original research projects on a wide range of scientific topics. Since 2005, student researchers have presented the results of their original work through posters during this event. Approximately 100 posters will be displayed and student authors will be present.

San José City Hall Rotunda Concert and Sound Projection
Saturday, April 20, 2024 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. | Location: San José City Hall Rotunda
The San José City Hall Rotunda Concert and Sound/Visual Projection consists of a live performance of music for a mixed ensemble (flute, soprano saxophone, baritone saxophone, percussion, and violin) and electronics. It places site-specific spatial acoustics and performer/audience distribution at the foundation of the creative compositional process. Composers/faculty members Pablo Furman and Christopher Luna-Mega explore various aspects of the concept of the Rotunda under the lens of San Jose's public works and the general soundscape.
