Dear SJSU Students,

Over the past few weeks, the Financial Aid and Scholarship Office has been sharing information and hosting workshops regarding changes to the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

I am writing to encourage you to attend an important webinar taking place tomorrow, Thursday, April 25 at 10 a.m. This webinar is organized by U.S. Senator Alex Padilla, who will be joined by representatives from the U.S. Department of Education and the California Student Aid Commission.

With the upcoming May 2 priority deadline for California financial aid applications, this webinar aims to provide valuable information and guidance to students across California, including those from mixed-status families, on how to successfully apply for federal and state financial aid. The webinar will cover the new Better FAFSA and address frequently asked questions.

Although there have been challenges leading up to this deadline, I strongly encourage all SJSU students to take advantage of this opportunity and participate in the webinar. By attending, you will have the chance to hear directly from federal and state officials and gain insights into completing the financial aid application process effectively.

To join the webinar, please use this registration link

The SJSU Financial Aid and Scholarship Office is also here to assist you with any questions you may have. Visit the website  for the latest information regarding FAFSA and the  California Dream Application  (CADAA) or email  fao@sjsu.edu
