The students of JS102, Police and Society, recently had the pleasure of hearing from Sergeant Ken Kwok a San Jose State University Department of Justice Studies alumni. He now works for the Fremont Police Department and came to speak to our students about a career in law enforcement.

Record Clearance Project Presents: Artistic Freedom, The Liberating Art of the Formerly Incarcerated

Inspiration and peace comes from within oneself, and that is exactly what artists Ashante Davis, Andre Hernandez, David Davila, Joey Hernandez, and Rodrigo Lara displayed on the walls of Dr. MLK, Jr. Library in Record Clearance Project's first annual art exhibit, Liberating Art of the Formerly Incarcerated. SJSU's Record Clearance Project helps people move forward with their lives, opening doors to new futures. For some, the experience of confinement leads to creative release through art. This exhibit was displayed from February 1-29, in the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Library.
