About Professor Jeremiah Garrido
Jeremiah Garrido is currently a Criminalist/DNA Analyst assigned to the Santa Clara County Crime Laboratory Forensic Biology Unit. His primary duties at the Crime Laboratory include assisting law enforcement in processing crime scenes for physical evidence, performing forensic DNA analysis, and providing expert witness testimony in court. He has provided analysis and expert testimony in various cases involving violent homicides, sexual assault investigations, property crimes, and cold cases. He holds a B.S. in Forensic Science and a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of New Haven in Connecticut. In addition to having the opportunity to work on criminal cases from the crime scene to the crime laboratory, he has taught as an Adjunct Instructor of Forensic Science at local colleges in San José and often provides Forensic Science training to professionals in the law enforcement and legal communities. Jeremiah is a professional member of the following organizations: International Association of Bloodstain Pattern Analysts, California Association Of Criminalistics, American Academy of Forensic Science.
