Year 1: HSI Grant: Diversity Workshop

Priya Raman, Associate Professor at SJSU, and Raji Lukkoor, Civil and Environmental Engineering Professor at SJSU, facilitate the 3-day Summer Faculty Workshop. Within the 3 days, our instructors were able to inform our participants about:
- What is an HSI?
- How to improve your Syllabus?
- Institutional Data
- Universal Design for Learning (UDL)
- Teaching Strategies
- And much more!
Throughout the 3 days, we had a couple of guest speakers from SOMOS!, Institutional Effectiveness and Strategic Analytics (IESA), Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (ODEI), and others as well. Our participants were able to learn and apply their new skills to their own teaching methods and materials.
