• Admission Requirements 

  • 1. Bachelor’s degree or higher
    2. Minimum 2.5 GPA 
    3. Two Letters of Recommendation
    4. Resume
    5. Statement of Purpose
    6. Pre-Professional Hours, Strongly Recommended
    7. Verify Subject Matter Competency
    8. Certificate of Clearance

    Qualified applicants may be contacted for an admissions interview.

    
    International applicants must also submit:

    1. Foreign Transcript Evaluation 
    2. TOEFL

    Critical Bilingual Authorization Program applicants must also submit:

    1. Statement of Purpose written in Spanish
    2. Spanish proficiency assessment required during admissions interview

  • Before Phase I Student Teaching/EDEL143A
    - Completed Subject Matter Competency
    - (Optional) Equivalency for Clinical Experience due within 30 days of program admission. 

    Phase I Student Teaching/EDEL 143A
    - CalTPA Cycle 1
    - U.S. Constitution Requirement

    Phase II Student Teaching/EDEL 143B
    - CalTPA Cycle 2
    - CPR (Adult, Child, & Infant)

• Completion Requirements
  • - RICA or updated assessment required by CTC at the time of your credential application
    - Technology Requirement (Google Educator Level 1)
    - Complete each required credential course with a grade of "B" or better; Cumulative 3.0+ GPA in program
