Refund and Deferral Policy
The tuition and deferral policy for International Gateways (IG) is as follows:
The application fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
- All refunds are issued with a $75 USD processing fee.
- 100% tuition refund less a $75 processing fee will be granted for withdrawal requests received in writing before the first day of SAS orientation.
- 75% tuition refund less a $75 processing fee will be granted for withdrawal requests received in writing until the last day of SAS orientation.
- No refund for any reason past the 1st day of instruction on the SJSU academic calendar.
- Written refund requests must be emailed to International Gateways Admissions at igateways-admission@sjsu.edu.
- The International Gateways refund policy applies to JCB health insurance payments if there are no claims for the coverage period.
Health Insurance Refund Policy for JCB’s posted on their website and listed below:
All refund requests must be sent to International Gateways Admissions, who will confirm non-student status with JCB and submit the refund request on behalf of the student. Refunds for enrollments must be requested within 45 days of the insurance term start date AND within 120 days of purchase, whichever is sooner. Please note that if you use a credit card to purchase your insurance plan, refunds are NOT possible past 120 days of the day of your purchase.
Deferral Policy
Deferral to a future term of study can be processed with a $150 fee.
