Mission

H&A in San Jose is a community-building initiative to foster collaboration between H&A and the rich environment of our surrounding community. Read more about our success with this initiative in the SJSU NewsCenter article by Julia Halperin Jackson

Values

  • Introduce projects in early stages of development to our community
  • Connect faculty across SJSU departments with external partners
  • Provide an opportunity for faculty to integrate collaborative opportunities/events/etc into their curriculum
  • Inform and inspire colleagues about the quality and scope of research, scholarship, and creative activity within the college and surrounding community
  • Identify opportunities for future collaboration & funding 

Campus and Community Series

H&A in San Jose: Campus and Community Series invites faculty from the College of Humanities & Arts and local partners from the San José community to an informal presentation of their projects in early stages of development regularly during each academic year.

Hosted by the H&A Research Committee and sponsored by the Dean of the College of Humanities and the Arts, each presentation featured a 3 minute overview of the project followed by a 3-minute Q&A from panel participants and audience members.

Yes! This virtual meeting is open to anyone who is interested (SJSU and community members/organizations alike). Register to attend on Zoom before November 18, 2022.
