Global Technology Initiative (GTI)

In 2004, the SJSU Charles W. Davidson College of Engineering established a $1 million Global Technology Initiative, with the mission of giving SJSU students a global perspective on technology and business developments. Its goal is to expand students’ horizons about the opportunities and challenges of a global economy, to expose them to global environmental and energy problems in which technology plays a central role, and to motivate their learning of global issues and different cultures.

Dean's Career Conversations

Join us for an afternoon of conversation with alumni and other professionals from a variety of engineering fields. During small roundtable conversations with some of our most accomplished alumni and industry connections, you will have a chance to ask questions, gain industry insights, and discuss your career development. In order to keep the conversations small, participation is limited to 20 students at each event.

Silicon Valley Leaders Symposium

Since Fall 2002, the Charles W. Davidson College of Engineering has hosted the Silicon Valley Leaders Symposium (SVLS). The Symposium hosts industry and technology leaders to talk about business and technology trends. It also features prominent leaders who discuss broader societal and political issues that shape our life and society.
