Independent Studies
Students may complete a 1-4 unit supervised independent study for course credit.
Undergraduate Students
ECON 180
Undergraduate students may enroll in ECON 180 for up to 4 units of credit. For 1-unit Independent Studies, student may choose to complete assignments provided by the instructor of record. For 2-4 unit Independent Studies, students must identify a topic of study and work with a particular faculty advisor. The student must begin this process well before the beginning of the semester in which they hope to complete the Independent Study. The faculty advisor will then have the class added to the schedule and will provide a permission code to the student.
Graduate Students
ECON 298
Graduate students may enroll for 3 units of credit. They must identify a topic of study as well as identify a faculty advisor. The student must begin this process well before the beginning of the semester in which the students hopes to complete the Independent Study. The faculty advisor will then have the class added to the schedule and will provide a permission code to the student.
