Peer Mentors

At the ACCESS Success Center, Peer Mentors with students who are on Academic Probation. Undergraduate students are placed on academic probation if, at any time, their SJSU cumulative GPA falls below 2.0.

Peer Mentors understand what it’s like to be a student at San José State University. They are the primary support for probation students in addressing concerns, obtaining assistance with prioritizing goals, finding campus resources, gaining strategies to improve time management, study skills, test-taking, or other success-related skills.
