Geological Society of America Fellow

Dr. Jonathan Miller was recently elected as a Geology Society of America (GSA) Fellow.  He is pictured above shaking hands with the GSA President Don Seigel when he received this honor.  GSA members are elected to Fellowship in recognition of a sustained record of distinguished contributions to the geosciences and to the Geological Society of America. Achieving this distinction requires extensive professional experience of at least fifteen years after earning a PhD, and a history of membership and service to GSA including at least five years of membership.  Dr. Jonathan Miller is the Chair of the Department of Geology at SJSU.
