Student Research Assistance Award
Awards from the Circle of Friends may be given for meritorious research proposals. Undergraduate students can apply for a maximum of $1000. Spartan Accelerated Graduate Education (SAGE) and graduate students can apply for a maximum of $2500.
If a previous award has not been given, then a maximum of $1500 is available for a presentation at a sponsoring professional organization. Documentation of acceptance is required. Acceptance documentation must be submitted while the student is officially enrolled. Also, official enrollment is required by the University in order for a student to be eligible to receive any monetary award.
Awards are based on the merit of the application, including the expenses listed on the line budget.
Application submission is on a rolling basis during the academic semesters, so students can turn in their proposal whenever they begin their research project. Note: Please do not submit your Graduate Student Research Assistance Award application during the summer and winter breaks.
