San Jose Story Map
Each of these public works of art have been added to the ongoing cultural mapping project, "San José Story Map Project," as a way to share data and information about our surroundings and our common stories.
The "San José Story Map Project" aims to use the power of stories to reveal San José in a new and different light. This two-year project will help create a digital map that showcases the rich histories and vibrant cultures found in our beloved City of San José and beyond. The virtual map, including all of the public art for this project, embeds those public artworks into the stories/testimonials that the San José Story Map team collected. The stories/testimonials in the map are multimedia (videos, photos, written text) and multigenre (poetry, prose, performance). They uncover hidden histories, untold stories, and unheard voices from the diverse communities in San José.
