No matter if you join us for an in-person walking tour or you decide to wander around using the MyGPSCity app or the print version with the Linktree, we invite you to contribute to our #SJResistArt Instagram campaign. 

Here's what you do:

  1. Take the tour.
  2. While at any public artwork, take a selfie or image with the artwork to reflect this idea of art as resistance. Your image might actively challenge narrow and exclusionary interpretations of local history through public art creation, through both impermanent creations, such as graffiti murals, and more permanent large scale public sculptures, and utilize public art as a space of resistance, resisting both colonialist histories and recent narratives of urban demise through the beautification of urban space via art that showcases the diverse and vibrant life of the city. 
  3. Post to Instagram with the hashtag, #SJResistArt.
