Director Goals

get housing to mandate Narcan training for Resident Assistants (RAs)

write resolutions supporting legislation to improve higher education
Director Responsibilities

serve as the primary voting representative for the California State Student Association (CSSA)

serve as the Chair of the Lobby Corps

serve as a member of the Multicultural Advisory Committee

serve as a Student Senator on the Academic Senate

work with local government officials and legislative offices to promote the interests of SJSU and its students by holding at least one campus visit per semester
-
organize all A.S. voter registration, education, and mobilization efforts in coordination with SJSU Votes
-
submit recommendations to the Board of Directors concerning CSSA proposals from the statewide Academic Senate, the CSU system, the California State Legislature, and the U.S. Congress that affect the interests of SJSU and its students
-
work in coordination with the Controller to report to the Board on decisions of the California State Legislature affecting student fees
-
provide reports as needed of local, state, and federal legislation that impacts the CSU and students
-
provide a liaison report on the activities of the University Government Relations
