August, 2024
On June 18, 2024, President Biden announced two immigration actions that will create a clear pathway to permanent residency for qualifying spouses and children of U.S. citizens, and provide potential employment-based options for eligible DACA holders. The new Parole in Place (PIP) process will begin August 19, 2024 and there is no way to apply before that date.
CAUTION: Be careful and avoid fraud! We strongly encourage you to speak with a licensed and experienced immigration attorney to receive an individualized consultation about your eligibility for immigration relief. SJSU students, staff, faculty, and their families have access to free immigration services through the CSU Legal Services program. Schedule an appointment online.
