Program Description
4-week program for rising high school seniors which will focus on enrichment activities in math, physics, programming and Artificial Intelligence. The program will be led by San Jose State University (SJSU) faculty, and also include interactions with tech industry professionals, and college application prep with SJSU admissions office staff.
Each student participant will receive a $2,000 stipend, along with free room & board (3 meals per day) on the SJSU campus (in student housing), with option to go home on weekends if desired (Friday and Saturday night). Students are expected to stay on campus in order to be able to fully participate in the program -- program sessions will take place from 9am to 5pm on weekdays.
In addition, if admitted to SJSU’s Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science major, program participants will become eligible for a second summer enrichment program prior to attending SJSU, as well as up to $15,000 in annual scholarships to attend SJSU for up to 5 years, for a total of up to $75,000 per student (the scholarship amount is based on the difference between the university's cost of attendance and a student's financial need).

Eligibility criteria
- Rising high school senior during the summer of 2024 (expected high school graduation in May/June 2025)
- US citizen, permanent resident, or lawful refugee.
- Pell Grant eligible (Student Aid Estimator)
- GPA of 3.0 or higher (based on grades from 10th grade and up: Cal State GPA Calculator)
- Interest in pursuing a degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science at San Jose State University
