Science Credential Authorization

If you already have a teaching credential and you are looking to add an instructional authorization in science to your credential, the class you would need to take at SJSU to satisfy the science authorization is SCED 273 - Secondary School Science.

- SCED 273 is offered in the Fall and Spring semesters on Tuesdays from 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm in Duncan Hall on the main SJSU campus.

Open University Program

If you are not an enrolled SJSU student, you can enroll in the class through our Open University Program which allows non-matriculated students to enroll in traditional classes at SJSU.

After you have applied through the Open University Program, you should email the instructor of record to request a permission code to add the class or attend class the first night of the semester.
