Advisory Groups

Innovation Advisory Council (IAC)

The IAC provides advice on issues critical to building and growing innovation, entrepreneurship, and commercialization support for SJSU students, faculty, and staff. 

Patent Review Board (PRB)

The PRB advises the Vice President for Research and Innovation on matters relating to patentability of inventions disclosed by faculty, staff and students under the SJSU Intellectual Property Policy. 

Copyright Advisory Committee (CAC)

To address inquiries pertaining to copyrighted material developed by faculty, staff or students, the Vice President for Research and Innovation may convene the CAC. The Committee shall consist of at least one college dean, two members of the faculty with copyright experience, and such outside expertise as needed. 

SpartUp Incubator Advisory Board (SIAB)

The SIAB advises the Director of Innovation on programming ideas, opportunities, and resources critical to building and growing the SJSU SpartUp Incubator programs to support SJSU students, faculty, and staff. The SIAB serves as a vehicle for ongoing dialogue between SJSU innovation support leadership and community leaders to help inform SJSU’s business incubation agenda, strategy, goals, and programs.
