Minor in Health Professions
The minor in Health Professions is a five-course (15 unit) introduction to the varied professional pathways to support culturally diverse individuals and communities on the path to health. Students who pursue this minor must take HPRF 135 (Health Issues in a Multicultural Society) Students will fulfill the remaining units for the minor by selecting twelve (12) units of electives across any three of the areas listed on Approved Electives for Minor in Health Professions. The minor in Health Professions is appropriate for students from any major who wish to gain exposure to multiple, different professional perspectives on health, healing, and wellness. Students pursuing a major in Health Science are not able to select this minor because there are not enough distinct courses available to them. Declaring a minor
To declare a minor in Public Health [pdf] or Health Professions [pdf], please meet with a faculty advisor to complete the Change of Major or Minor Form, available from the Registrar.
