Bio
Emmanuel J. Watkins is an award-winning Teacher-Scholar whose influence spans from the majestic mountains of Appalachia to the vibrant shores of West Palm Beach and the innovative Bay Area of California. With a profound commitment to academic excellence, Emmanuel prioritizes the educational journey of his students, viewing their success as his most cherished achievement.
A proponent of culturally relevant pedagogy, Emmanuel skillfully designs curriculum and implements teaching strategies that resonate with diverse student populations, ranging from elementary learners to graduate scholars. His expertise in curriculum development and recruitment has empowered educational institutions to fulfill their strategic missions and objectives. Additionally, he has successfully secured grant funding for various initiatives, enhancing organizational capabilities and student outcomes.
Beyond his academic pursuits, Emmanuel is dedicated to community service, actively serving as a minister in his local church and is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. He is currently a doctoral student at The University of Alabama and holds a Master of Arts in Education from the University of the Incarnate Word, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in African & African American Studies from Berea College.
