Education

In partnership with the SJSU Human Rights Minor Program, students gain access to a wealth of applied and scholarly experience in human rights law, philosophy, advocacy, policy design, and reporting.

Human Rights Minor Program

The Human Rights Minor Program is open to all undergraduate students at SJSU, and is a great way for students to add a Minor credential without delaying graduation. The Program provides training in International Human Rights Law, human rights reporting/journalism, and human rights advocacy.

The SJSU HRI offers Faculty Research Grants each summer to support human rights related research across our campus. Solicitations are released each spring, and are awarded at the end of each AY.

Graduate Scholarships

The SJSU HRI is honored to offer the Aris Anagnos Graduate Student Scholarship ($2K per AY) for Human Rights Research each year to promote human rights research and celebrate the contributions of Aris Anagnos to 20th century anti-fascist and civil rights movements in the West.
