Disabled Parking
Please Note: The EARC does not issue temporary disabled parking permits. You must contact Parking Services located in the 7th Street garage at (408) 924-6556 or parking@sjsu.edu.
In conjunction with a DMV license plate/parking placard, San José State University (SJSU) parking permits are required at all times.
Parking Services and EARC recommends employees to obtain a DMV permit if you continue to need parking accommodation.
Accessible parking spaces are provided throughout the SJSU campus. Employees who wish to park in a marked disabled parking space on campus must have one of the following:
-
A Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) issued disabled parking placard (blue or red); or
-
DMV issued disabled parking license plates.
DMV permit and application informationcan be found at the following link: https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/driver-education-and-safety/special-interest-driver-guides/people-with-disabilities/.
Should you have any questions, please contact Parking Services at 408-924-6556 or parking@sjsu.edu.
Parking Lot Key Cards
A key card is necessary to gain access to Lot #1 located at 7th & San Fernando. To apply for a key card, employees must submit an application to SJSU Traffic and Parking located in the 7th Street Garage. If the electronic gate malfunctions, you may contact the EARC by dialing 111 during business hours on the Lot#1 gate control key pad or use the gate control directory to contact the University Police Department (UPD) to gain access.
