Educational Opportunity Program (EOP)

Visit us during the EOP Open House to learn more about our programs and services, which include Summer Bridge, holistic support, advising, and peer mentoring. 

Students who are already accepted EOP students and students who submitted a complete EOP application are invited to visit! Light breakfast items and refreshments will be available.

EOP offers a Summer Bridge (SB) program for First-Year frosh over the summer to bridge the gap between high school and college. 

SB participants will gain a support system before the fall semester. They will practice skills to navigate college, online resources, and have opportunities to build relationships with other members of the EOP community.

Guardian Scholars

The Guardian Scholars Program (GSP) at San José State University supports students who have experienced foster care, students who have a legal guardian or are a dependent/ward of the court, and students who have been unhoused or have current housing challenges and are Independent as determined by Financial Aid.

We provide a network of integrated support and resources that focus on academic, career, and lifelong personal development. GSP is open to all independent students including transfer students, undergraduate and graduate students. We look forward to meeting future scholars!

Hammer Theatre Center Open House

Hammer Theatre (101 Paseo de San Antonio)

The Hammer Theatre will be open for all guests to visit our lobby from 10:30  a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 13th for Admitted Spartans, families, and their guests. Meet our staff and student assistants and learn about events happening at the Hammer and our connection to SJSU and the City of San Jose. We will have tours of the theatre at 11:00 a.m., 11:40 a.m., 12:20 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. Attend a tour and receive limited edition Hammer swag.

Spartan Recreation and Aquatic Center (SRAC)
