RSCA in Five: Faculty Short Talks on
Big Data and Data Science

Dear SJSU Faculty,

On behalf of the Office of Research, I am delighted to invite you to our RSCA in Five: Faculty Short Talks. Our flagship research, scholarship, and creative activity (RSCA) dissemination series, hosted in a hybrid format, will allow us to proudly showcase our faculty and their current work. On Friday, October 14, 2022, at 10:30 a.m., we will be exploring Big Data and Data Science as a topic.

Speakers at this event will explore the concept of Big Data and how it relates to a variety of topics from wildfires to data privacy. Curious about what your fellow Spartans are working on? Come see them present in short, five-minute talks.

The talks will be prefaced by thoughts from the Associate Dean of SJSU College of Professional and Global Education and Director of the Silicon Valley Center for Global Studies, Dr. Alan Wong.

We encourage you to attend in person to maximize networking opportunities. Snacks and refreshments will be provided. Please RSVP.

Our RSCA in 5 talks never fail to highlight the groundbreaking work of SJSU faculty. We are excited to engage with audience members from external partners this semester. I look forward to seeing you on October 14.

Best regards,

Richard Mocarski
