PHYS 52 - General Physics - Heat and Light
This course is the 3rd semester in the calculus-based University Physics for science and engineering majors. It covers Optics (describes the behavior and properties of light and its interaction with matter) and Thermodynamics (describes the macroscopic changes of physical systems as temperature, pressure or volume varies). Prerequisites are PHYS 50, PHYS 51 & Math 30/30P. Familiar with Newton's Law, Conservation of Energy and Momentum is essential.
