Bio
Ming Zhou is a full professor at the School of Global Innovation & Leadership.
Prior to joining SJSU in Fall 2006, Professor Zhou was an assistant professor of supply chain management at the Price College of Business, University of Oklahoma. He was hired as a graduate lecturer at the University of Maryland from 2002-04. He has taught courses in Operations Management, Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, and Product Design and Management at undergraduate and MBA levels.
Professor Zhou's research focuses on data analysis, e-commerce operations, supply chain management, risk management, innovation policy, technology valuation, service quality, electronic auctions, and online reputation systems. He has published his work on academic journals such as Decision Support Systems, Information & Management, Int'l Journal of Productions and Quantitative Management, Int'l Journal of Mathematics in Operations Research, and more.
Professor Zhou has participated in and advised several technology startups since 2015 around the Silicon Valley area. He advised the Korean government on innovation policies and served as an innovation advisor in Korea. He worked closely with a couple of international investment institutions on technology investments. He currently advises a local consulting and private equity firm on their operations and investment decisions. He was a board of trustees member of the Sofia University at Palo Alto.
