Bio

Theoretically my research converges around questions of emergent phenomena and pattern detection in coastal ecosystems - particularly how biological, chemical, and physical interactions scale over space and time. I employ a multidisciplinary approach to this research by integrating autonomous robotics and remote sensing systems with GIS, computer vision, and machine learning analytical techniques to advance quantitative understanding of environmental change in order to improve monitoring methods and mitigation outcomes.
