Bio
Lisa Arieta-Hayes, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW,1990) and earned both
a Bachelors (BSW, 1983) and Master in Social Work (MSW, 1996) degrees and a Doctor
of Education degree (Ed.D, 2002). Dr. Arieta-Hayes attended San Jose State University
and the University of San Francisco where she completed her dissertation on the Experience
of Latina Teens in the Criminal Justice System. Her professional experience has been
vast, from providing direct services in out-patient clinics, group homes, residential
care and hospital based treatment facilities, to over 16 years as an educator with
the School of Social Work at San Jose State University. Currently, Dr. Arieta-Hayes
is the Clinical Director of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Kaiser San Jose. Dr.
Arieta-Hayes is a member of the Latino Social Workers Network, National Association
of Social Workers and California Teacher's Association. She is a Group Home Administrator,
Certified Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Trainer and a Certified ProAct Trainer and
has taught hundreds of training courses and presented at numerous local, state and
national conferences. In addition, she is a trainer for the Office of Juvenile Justice
and Delinquency Prevention (O.J.J.D.P.) and has provided training for city, county
and state organizations. In 2007, her professional expertise led her to be included
in the Who’s Who in Executive Non-Profit Management.
