Description

Course Description: English 1A is the first course in the SJSU two-semester lower-division composition sequence.
Students will develop college-level reading abilities, rhetorical sophistication, and writing styles that give form and coherence to complex ideas and feelings. Grammar will not be a major component of the class content, but it is a major component of essay grades. In other words, very little time will be devoted to learning grammar--in class. 

My stretch sections of English 1a explore what it means to be a global citizen. We read the news, decipher interrelated events, and write about what we learn.
