Bio
Dr. Bloom received her doctorate at the University of California, Berkeley, School
of Social Welfare, her MSW at San Francisco State University, and her BA at Vassar
College. Dr. Bloom is the Director of Field Education, Internships and Student Services
at San Jose State University, where she also serves as the PPSC Coordinator. She is
licensed as a clinical social worker in California. Dr. Bloom has numerous years’
experience providing administrative and clinical oversight to complex, diverse community
programs serving children and families, most recently she worked for the San Francisco
Child Abuse Prevention Center. Dr. Bloom also worked for Catholic Charities CYO in
San Francisco. Dr. Bloom has been involved in collaborative efforts with a variety
of community partners; she was the San Francisco Homeless Prevention Consortium Chairperson
from 1998 to 2004.
