SJSU ICPC programming team
the ICPC programming competition is a very old world-wide programming competition for undergraduates. it was around when i went to school! i was on our school's programming team. (yay miami university!) we didn't do that great, but it was a fun experience, and i learned a lot of programming techniques.
we have competed for years now, after a long break. check out the 2022 teams, 2021 teams2020 teams and the 2019 teams.
we are always recruiting new members! they key requirement is that you are an undergraduate.
team composition
each team is composed of 3 members. we can take 5 teams to the regional competition. please check the eligibility tree to see if you can participate. your major is NOT a factor in eligibility!
preparation
please register on kattis: https://open.kattis.com/ . there are great practice problem on that site. try them out!
i encourage frosh and sophomores to participate!!!! please do! you will help provide continuity to the team.
next semester we plan on having a couple of solution sessions during the week lead by team trainers (students on the team), and a friday and/or saturday 3-5 hour competition every week. grades come first, so don't miss class to attend practice! you can drop an any session you would like.
if after reading all this, you are still interested. please join the facebook and discord group where we coordinate practices and meetings: https://www.facebook.com/groups/sjsu.programming.teamhttps://discord.gg/w5FWZTSGnV . you can also drop by my office to find out more.
