Students demonstrate the VR technology to the President for Research and Innovation at the IDEA lab at SJSU.

The SpartUp Incubator and the Silicon Valley Small Business Development Center (SVSBDC) support the Spartan Entrepreneur, or Spartaneur, in the practice of entrepreneurship, building upon the instruction and learning provided by the Lucas College of Business (LCOB).

Incubator Events

Regular live, hybrid and remote events with industry experts and experienced entrepreneurs.

Proof of Concept Program

Small grants to help selected entrepreneurs build and test prototypes.

Founder Institute Program

The SpartUp Founder program provides experience and exercises to SPartaneurs looking to further their founding skills.

Mentor/Mentee Coaching Program

Selected teams will be matched with experienced mentors to help guide them in the SpartUp journey.

Pitch Practice & Competitions

Several times each semester teams will participate in pitch practice and contests to move them toward the CSU Business Launch competition.

Sunstone CSU Startup Launch Competition

Every spring, California State Universities compete together for over $250,000 in prizes. Many campuses with entrepreneurship programs will send up to two teams to CSU Dominguez Hills for a day of pitching and prizes in Spring 2024.
