At the beginning of the semester the instructor will divide the class in to an appropriate number of WORK GROUPS, sometimes according to respective interests and sometimes according to geographical location.  Other groups will be based solely on geographic location.  Work groups, sometimes known as STUDY GROUPS, are a wonderful way to get to know other students as well as to get a deeper insight into the class materials.
