Week 10 (4/6/05 - 4/13/05) 

David �mile Durkheim (1858 - 1917) is known as one of the founders of modern sociology. He was also in 1895 the founder of first European university department of sociology and in 1896 the founder of one of the first journals devoted to social science, L'Ann�e Sociologique. • Final Exam is scheduled for Tu 5/24 from 1215 - 1430 (according to university policy). There is a conflict with another class's final. I do not have the ability to schedule individualized tests but am willing to reschedule. We can consider moving the exam to M 5/23 (after 9) or even to "Dead Day," which is W 5/18, but we need a consensus since we will be out of compliance.
